News from NZ Police Marine Drive at Sunshine Bay in Eastbourne was closed for some time tonight after a crash. A vehicle hit a pole around 7:50pm and the sole occupant was seriously injured. Motorists were asked to avoid travelling on this route till the crash was cleared.
