Burglars target SW Side businesses: police
Someone forced their way into a business and took items from inside in each case, police said.
Police are warning business owners of a series of burglaries reported last month in Archer Heights and Vittum Park on the Southwest Side.
In each case, someone forced their way into a business and took property from inside, Chicago police said in a community alert.
The burglaries happened:
- About 7:20 a.m. Oct. 3 in the 4600 block of South Cicero Avenue
- About 10 p.m. Oct. 6 in the 4300 block of West 47th Street
- About 9:54 p.m. Oct. 8 in the 5200 block of South Archer Avenue
- About 7 p.m. Oct. 9 in the 4800 block of South Archer Avenue
- About 8:30 a.m. Oct. 10 in the 4800 block of South Cicero Avenue
- About 8:50 a.m. Oct. 29 in the 4800 block of South Cicero Avenue
A description of any suspects was not immediately available.
