Watch Kevin Lee destroy Gregor Gillespie with terrifying KO which left UFC rival out cold for nearly ONE MINUTE
KEVIN LEE scored a stunning KO against Gregor Gillespie after a pitcher-perfect high kick at UFC 244.
American star Lee was returning to lightweight after two consecutive losses including one on his welterweight debut against Rafael dos Anjos.
A cagey opening first round saw Gillespie and ‘The Motown Phenom’ stand off each other exclusively boxing as the fight was stood up.
After exchanging jabs Lee began shooting out the right hand but just missed the mark.
That was until he landed a piston rear hand and followed through with a sensational high kick connecting to Gillespie’s temple.
Gillespie was sent tumbling backwards and knocked out cold for almost a minute as the ref immediately waved off the contest.
Having returned to the win column in spectacular fashion, Lee set his sights on a title run.
He said: “I needed to make a statement tonight, my back was against the wall and I wanted to put on a show.
“I did not underestimate this man, he’s the most decorated wrestler. I wanted to put on a showcase.
“I’m with a new team now. I wanted to show people.

“I’m not ready to celebrate. I want to get back in and do this s*** again.
“I needed to switch things up. I want to make another statement then start calling out title shots.”
