UFC 244: Donald Trump heckled with boos at fight night in New York just days after baseball fans chant ‘lock him up’
DONALD Trump was met with a chorus of boos as he attended UFC 244 in New York on Saturday.
The US President shrugged off hecklers and waved to the 18,000-strong crowd as he entered Madison Square Garden to watch the brutal mixed-martial arts event.
It comes just days after baseball fans chanted “lock him up” as Trump appeared on-screen at the World Series final between the Washington Nationals and Houston Astros.
Trump first had to make his way past dozens of protesters outside Madison Square Garden who waved signs calling for him to be booted from office.
UFC 244 was being topped by the much-anticipated welterweight title bout between Joge Masvidal and Nate Diaz.
The major pay-per-view spectacle also drew several celebrities – including wrestler-turned-actor The Rock.
Trump has long been tight with the UFC president Dana White.
