Firefighters battle chain of brush fires in Union City
UNION CITY — Firefighters on Saturday night battled a set of brush fires in the hills east of Union City.
Authorities released little information about the fires after The Alameda County Fire Department tweeted around 7 p.m. that they were happening. It’s unclear how big the fires are or if they threaten any structures.
Firefighters from Cal Fire, Fremont Fire Department, and Hayward Fire Department also helped fight the fires.
