Gangster Ronnie Kray rides a horse in green cardigan and trilby hat in never before seen pic
FEARED gangster Ronnie Kray enjoys a relaxing horse ride with friends in a bizarre image never before seen by the public.
Wearing a trilby and casual green cardigan, the East End mob boss was taking time out from his organised crime empire to chill out with friends.
The photo is one of 40 snaps which feature in a new book about Ronnie and his twin Reggie which have never been made public before.
Author Steve Wraith said: “When anyone thinks of the Krays they think of the headlines, the crimes and the life sentences they both received.
“But these pictures show another side.
“They show them relaxing with family and friends, on holiday, with their mother Violet, Reg on his honeymoon and even Ron horse riding. That was around 1965.”

In another snap taken at the family house, this time in the back yard, keen boxer Ron spars with Tommy ‘The Bear’ Brown, a local boxer and who worked as a doorman at the twins’ club, the Regency.
And there’s one of Ronnie on the beach at Steeple Bay, Essex, where he had a caravan.
Ronnie, who was later diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia and sent to Broadmoor, died in 1995 aged 61 and Reggie passed away five years later aged 66.
