[Swimming] Swim Teams Dominate in the Pool
Fremont, Neb. – Olivet's men's and women's swimming teams traveled to Nebraska to take on the College of Saint. Mary and Midland University on Saturday. The teams were looking to continue their competitive start to their season with another strong performance in Fremont. The performance that Coach Kelly Essler's Tigers gave was definitely strong. For the day the team's swimmers had several finishes that made National A and B cut qualifications. While many of these swimmers had already achieved A or B cut status, on the day 15 competitions saw Tigers achieve an A cut status, while six races saw the swimmers achieve B cut status. To further demonstrate the force the swimming teams will be this year, four swimmers set pool records in the contest. Overall, it was a highly successful day for the Tiger swim teams.
