Video: Dele Alli puts Spurs 1-0 up against Everton
Tottenham Hotspur have broken the deadlock in a tense game at Goodison Park.
The goal came from a sloppy pass from Alex Iwobi and the ball was picked up by Heung-min Son who fed Dele Alli, and the 23-year-old cut inside to drill a low shot past Jordan Pickford.
The Spurs midfielder celebrated by putting his finger to his lips which is probably his response to all of the negativity which has come his way from numerous pundits after his performance last weekend at Liverpool.
It could be a vital goal from the England international, not only for Tottenham’s cause but to also help boost his confidence.
Spurs now need to do something which they haven’t been comfortable with this season, hold onto a lead.
Alli breaks the deadlock!
It's a terrible error from Iwobi and Son feeds Alli to give the visitors the lead at Goodison Park.
