Dozens Of Trucks Loaded With U.S. Military Equipment Withdraw From Syria (Video, Photos)
On November 3, the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) released a video and several photos showing dozens of trucks working for U.S. forces withdrawing from northeast Syria to the Iraqi Kurdistan region.
The trucks were loaded with U.S. armored vehicles, min-clearing vehicles and other military equipment.
The trucks were likely evacuating equipment from the Sarrin base and airstrip in the eastern Aleppo countryside, which was abandoned by U.S. forces earlier on November 3.
The Sarrin base was last position of U.S. forces in eastern Aleppo. Prior to that, U.S. forces evacuated all of its main positions in Raqqa.
Despite the withdrawal from most positions in eastern Aleppo and Raqqa, U forces are now working to solidify their presence around oil fields al-Hasakah and Deir Ezzor. A step that would allow Washington to control valuable Syrian resources.
