Poll: Do you start Christmas early?
Of course retailers have already gone all-out with their Christmas displays and merchandise. But the question is, have you?
Not in my house! We do Thanksgiving first, and properly. I like the Fall theme of fall colors, pumpkins, now joined by pilgrims and a stuffed turkey. I like the whole concept and traditional celebration of Thanksgiving...even though it was nationalized by that dastardly Yankee Prez, Abraham Lincoln! We do have a lot to be thankful for, and family is at the top of the list. Of course, doesn't hurt that football is also associated with Thanksgiving.
In our house we do Thanksgiving...but as a compromise, and to keep the peace, the next day, that Friday, Oh my! the Christmas decorating starts in earnest.
