A Look At Some ACC Themes To Follow
Some good thoughts here
Up in ol’ Virginny the Daily Press has a nice bit up on some things to think about in the ACC. Locally the best part is this: “Though the ACC has expanded to a 20-game slate, it hasn’t figured out how to get Duke, UNC and N.C. State to be able to play home-and-home every season – a fact that rankles many fans in the Research Triangle.“
Damn right it rankles. There’s no reason whatsoever why we can't have that. And since it’s the heart of the ACC, it’d generate a lot more revenue than, say, State vs. Boston College, UNC vs. Miami or Duke vs...okay, Duke generates a lot no matter who the opponent is. But the point still stands.
There are also three coaches said to be on the hot seat: Wake Forest’s Danny Manning, Georgia Tech’s Josh Pastner and BC’s Jim Christian. If any of those AD’s are smart as they think they are, they’ve already got a plan in place to talk to Northwest Missouri State’s Ben McCollum.
