Rays prospects and winter leagues: Cronenworth, Team USA begin Premier12

Over the next two weeks, Team USA has a chance to qualify for the Olympics.

With the Arizona Fall League in the books, it was a very slow week in winter-league play. However, there’s some important international baseball being played. Team USA is attempting to qualify for the Olympics in the Premier12, which takes place until Nov. 17. Jake Cronenworth and former Rays minor league Spencer Jones are on the U.S. squad. Arturo Reyes is on Team Mexico, Cristopher Sanchez and Enny Romero are on Team Dominican Republic, Darryl George is on Team Australia, and Jhonleider Salinas and Juniel Querecuto are on Team Venezuela.
