[Men's Basketball] Three Teams Start Season Without a Loss
Antelope Valley, which received votes in the NAIA's preseason poll, has started the 2019-20 campaign with three wins, and Benedictine-Mesa and UC Merced have also come out victorious in their first two outings of the season, and all three teams figure to be in the middle of the race for a California Pacific Conference crown this season. But the biggest news in the first few weeks of play have been created by UCM and Pacific Union by virtue of defeating NCAA Division II programs in the early going. The Bobcats beat Dominican last Saturday behind an 18-point effort from Andrew Williams, and the Pioneers came from behind and stole a road win from Holy Names on a buzzer beater.
