Keanu Reeves’ ‘romance’ with artist Alexandra Grant appears to have been going strong for six months, footage shows
KEANU Reeves’ rumoured romance with his first girlfriend in decades Alexandra Grant appears to have been in full force for at least six months, loving video footage shows.
While Keanu and Alexandra were seen holding hands at an event on Saturday – they actually made their debut back in May, exclusive video obtained by Sun Online reveals.
The footage shows Keanu, 55, gazing at Alexandra, 46, and tenderly looking after her as she stepped in front of cameras at an arts event on May 18, 2019 at The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA, a famous modern art museum in Los Angeles.
The Matrix actor arrived with Alexandra in a chaffeur driven car before they clasped arms as he walked her to red carpet at the LA gala.
Wearing a sparkling silver dress, Alexandra was greeted by an organiser Klaus Biesenbach, who posed for photographers.
Eager Keanu then joined his rumoured new love, carefully putting his arm around her.
Keanu, who is due to reprise his role as Neo for the upcoming Matrix 4, is famous for not making contact with female fans in selfies and photos.
The Bill and Ted star then followed behind Alexandra to let her pose for snaps along before placing his arm behind her to pose for more photos together.
Keanu and Alexandra then stayed close together at the event reception, a source told Sun Online, and Keanu also spoke to British rocker Billy Idol.
An onlooker said: “They kept looking into each other’s eyes and smiling at each other.
“It looked like they were very much in love, it was sweet to watch.
“They were all smiles as they posed for the camera – and Keanu was careful not to steal the limelight from Alexandra.
“He was very caring towards her and they just seemed like a really happy couple.
“Inside the party Keanu kept getting approached by people and very single time he made sure he went back to Alexandra and introduced her to people.
“There was even one woman who looked like she was hitting on him, but Keanu made sure to get back to Alexandra’s side.
“It looked like they had been together for several months.”
A source also revealed how the pair had attended several other Hollywood events prior to May but always asked not to be photographed.
However on November 2, Keanu and Alexandra appeared to be more than happy to have their pictures taken
Wearing an all-black suit, 55, Keanu held hands with Alexandra, who looked radiant in a navy blue gown, on the red carpet at the LACMA Art + Film Gala Presented By Gucci in Los Angeles on Saturday.
It comes after he and Alexandra being spotted last month walking arm in arm as they left a sushi bar in West Hollywood.
Keanu has always been coy about his private life and has avoided public displays of affection during his 35-year-long career.
The A lister was previously linked to Amanda De Cadenet, Sandra Bullock and Claire Forlani but never made a public statement on his status.
Keanu was in a relationship with actress Jennifer Syme in the 90s, but the couple were left heartbroken when they lost their baby Ava at eight months.
Two years later in 2001, tragic Jennifer drove her Jeep Grand Cherokee into a row of parked cars in Los Angeles and died instantly, aged 28.
Fans were overjoyed to see Keanu has found happiness with Alexandra, who he has been friends with for over 10 years.
They have collaborated on two books together “Ode to Happiness” in 2011 and Shadows in 2016.
Alexandra is an artist and philanthropist known for her sculpture, painting, drawing and video works.
She grew up around the world including in France, Spain and Mexico and has exhibited at prestigious galleries including LACMA and MOCA in LA and the Galerie Gradiva in Paris.

Alexandra and Keanu have been regularly spotted together since their first book collaboration – and have travelled together to art galleries and book signings.
Speaking about Keanu in an interview with the LA Times, she said: “No one can move the way he can. He’s a really extreme performer.
“That’s a huge piece of why those images are so interesting. I knew that if I moved the camera as we danced together, as photographer and subject, we could create these wonderful optical illusions.”
