Dunkin’ Donuts’ Beyond Sausage Sandwich launches tomorrow

It’s time to go plant-based in the morning with the country’s first-ever Beyond Sausage Sandwich. Not at Starbucks. At Dunkin’ Donuts.

After a test-run in New York City, the sandwich, which features 10 grams of plant-based protein in a patty with a mix of spices, hits Northern California Dunkin’ Donuts locations two months earlier than originally planned – on Wednesday, Nov. 6. Yes, apparently it’s that good.

In addition to the launch, Dunkin’ invites guests to Bay Area locations including Concord, Walnut Creek and San Jose to sample the new sandwich, which is served on an English muffin with egg and American cheese, for free from 8 to 10 a.m. Nov. 8 and Nov. 9, while supplies last.

Dunkin’ is the first U.S. restaurant chain to serve the Beyond Breakfast Sausage. The Beyond Sausage Sandwich has 29 percent less total fat, 33 percent less saturated fat and fewer calories, cholesterol and sodium than a traditional Dunkin’ Sausage, Egg and Cheese Breakfast Sandwich on an English muffin.
