[Football] Defense responds to challenge vs McPherson, prepping for Sterling
Scott Helsper (JR/Coeur D'Alene, Idaho) was pleased with the way he and his Kansas Wesleyan defensive teammates played against McPherson on Saturday. Rightfully so.
The No. 3-ranked Coyotes limited the Bulldogs to 217 total yards on 75 plays – and average of 2.9 per play – recorded nine sacks and forced three turnovers in a 48-14 Kansas Conference victory at Graves Family Sports Complex. McPherson's dynamic senior quarterback Ed Crouch was just 15 of 39 passing for 158 yards, no touchdowns and two interceptions.
