Aw, yeah: People finally like the new 'Sonic the Hedgehog' design

Sonic the Hedgehog, star of the upcoming animated film Sonic the Hedgehog, is looking like a whole new hedgehog.

Fans were outraged after the initial trailer for the movie dropped in April, because Sonic looked too different from the classic character everyone knows and loves. The early rendering of Sonic had small eyes, strange-looking legs, and a fucking set of human teeth for goodness sake. The design simply wasn't acceptable, and after a frightening amount of criticism from fans the animators vowed to do right and recreate him.

Cut to today, when the new Sonic the Hedgehog trailer was released and all was made right in the world for Sonic fans. Sonic now appears with larger eyes, teeth more suitable for an animated hedgehog, and overall better vibes. See for yourself. Read more...
