Roper raises dividend by 11%, to implied yield of 0.6%
Roper Technologies Inc. said Friday it was raising its quarterly dividend by 11% to 51.25 cents a share, from 46.25 cents. The software developer said the new dividend will be payable Jan. 23 to shareholders of record on Jan. 9. Based on Thursday's stock closing price of $349.14, the new annual dividend rate would imply a dividend yield of 0.59%, compared with the implied yield for the S&P 500 of 1.92%. The stock, which is still inactive in premarket trading, has rallied 31.0% year to date, while the S&P 500 has gained 23.5%.
