Mum left her 3 young kids home alone on son’s birthday to have sex at Holiday Inn with new lover
A MUM left her three young kids to fend for themselves as she romped with her lover in a Holiday Inn – on her son’s birthday.
A court heard how the kids were locked in a bedroom with a bucket, a roll of toilet paper, and a bag of sweets.
When cops forced their way into the house, the woman’s five-year-old daughter heartbreakingly told them: “Mummy has left us alone again.”
Preston Crown Court heard how she removed the door handle so the kids could not escape the room.
Their only source of light was a lamp with exposed wires – which Judge Philip Barry described as “a clear fire hazard”.
The 32-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, had organised a tryst with her new man.
The alarm was raised by the children’s father, who is separated from their mother, after he became concerned she had left them alone on the evening of September 15, 2017.
The mother pleaded guilty to three offences of child neglect on Thursday, November 14, and was given an 18-month prison sentence, suspended for two years.

She must also complete 150 hours of community service and undertake 30 rehabilitation activity days.
Passing sentence, Judge Parry, said: “September 15 was your son’s birthday and here he was, locked in a bedroom with his two siblings while you went out.”
The court heard the children were now cared for by the mother’s aunt and uncle.
