Woodbury County Sheriff releases video of pursuit ending in rollover

he Woodbury County Sheriff's Office has released in-car video showing the end of a Thursday morning pursuit.

Authorities say at about 5:45 a.m. a Woodbury County Sheriff's Deputy attempted to stop an SUV in the northwest part of the county. The vehicle attempted to elude the deputy and after a short pursuit, a PIT (Pursuit Intervention Technique) was authorized and utilized on the SUV.

The maneuver caused the SUV to leave the roadway and roll over onto its top.

The driver of the SUV was taken into custody without incident. The Sheriff's Office has identified the driver as Michael Jorgensen.

He is being held in the Woodbury County Jail on OWI 2nd, Eluding Serious and numerous other charges.

Jorgensen was taken to a local hospital, because of precaution, according to a Sheriff's Deputy.

The Woodbury County Sheriff's Office, Sioux City Police Department, and Sioux City Fire Rescue assisted at the scene.{{file|t=kYZ0N_1573844000}}
