December is almost here, and that means Christmas twinklers and late-night movie sessions. December also means a new slate of Netflix content will replace some older stuff on the streaming site. So, you'll have fresh options to choose from. Netflix is adding an impressive batch of both original and theatrical releases in December, including Marriage Story, the Austin Powers movies, Malcolm X, Bond movies like Tomorrow Never Dies, and VOD hit, Sweetheart, about a girl marooned on an island with a monster.December will also see the premieres of new seasons of popular Netflix Original TV series like You, Fuller House, and Lost in Space. But, most exciting, are the arrivals of Academy Awards hopefuls Marriage Story, starring Scarlett Johansson and Adam Driver, and The Two Popes, starring Anthony Hopkins and Jonathan Pryce. They could legitimize Netflix as an Oscar threat. Also, check out Michael Bay's new action flick, 6 Underground, featuring Ryan Reynolds as a special agent in Italy.On a sadder note, Netflix is purging a slew of great flicks next month, as usual.
