[Men's Soccer] UCM Upends Corban, Advances into NAIA Championship Round

On paper, it does not even look like a close match, but UC Merced's gutty, gritty defense, as it has all season, kept the Bobcats in contention through 110 minutes of back-and-forth play, ending double overtime tied at 1-1.  And when it came down to penalty kicks, the Bobcats proved to be even better, scoring a 6-5 win over Salem Bracket host Corban, allowing UCM to advance along with the other regional winners and host Westmont at the Orange Beach Sportsplex in Irvine, Calf., from Dec. 2-7.
