DEAR DEIDRE: WE are not compatible physically – but it’s nothing to do with sex. It’s the environment.
My boyfriend has stopped staying over because he likes the cold, while I like it warm.
He won’t sleep with me unless the window is open but I live on a busy main road.
When I stay at his, the birds wake me up and I often feel chilly, which upsets my sleep.
He’s 30 and I’m 32. This problem is making us drift apart.
We miss spending nights together but we can’t find a happy solution.

DEIDRE SAYS: You might be polar opposites in your night-time preferences but most couples find sharing a bed is an important ingredient in bonding.
Get practical. Buy some earplugs so that noise from the outside does not disturb you. Get an extra duvet for your side of the bed too, so you are all togged up.
And then make sure you put some cosy pyjamas on your Christmas list!
