Shoppers praise Aldi’s 79p hand cream for soothing chapped skin, and reckon it’s just like Aveeno’s pricier version

SHOPPERS are scrambling to get their hands on Aldi’s 79p hand cream which they claim is the dupe of an Aveeno one costing more than six times the price.

Taking to the Facebook group Extreme Couponing & Bargains UK, run by money saving mum Holly Smith, one woman shared her budget beauty purchase.

The Lacura moisturising hand cream with oatmeal and glycerine promises to protect your skin and keep it moisturised all day, and shoppers seem to agree.

Captioning her post, she wrote: “I had really sore, red chapped hands. This stuff cleared it up after a couple of uses.”

She compared it to the Aveeno daily moisturising hand cream with oatmeal which costs £5.10 in Waitrose.

Her post received hundreds of likes and comments from fellow Aldi shoppers keen to get their hands on the cream.

“Another reason to shop at Aldi lol” wrote one, with another adding, “I need this.”

Meanwhile others were quick to offer up their own reviews of the product, with most agreeing that it was just as good as its pricier counterpart.

One commented: “I also tried Aldi hand cream was fab my skin was rough really bad at the finger tips and after a couple of days it made such a difference was impressed.”

A second added: “This is amazing stuff my hands were always dry until I found this as aveeno is to expensive.”
