Person found dead in football stadium portable toilet for the second time this year

A dead body has been found inside a portable toilet outside the Baltimore Ravens’ football stadium for the second time this year.

Police were called to M&T Bank Stadium around 2pm on Sunday where they found the unidentified person dead inside the port-a-potty, police said.

It is unclear how long the body had been inside the portable toilet. The Baltimore Ravens played the New York Jets on Thursday at the stadium.

Temperatures between Thursday night’s game and Sunday afternoon ranged from 29F (-1.6C) to 51F (10.5C).

The body was taken to the medical examiners office so an autopsy could be conducted. Police have not yet revealed a cause of death.

54 people died from exposure to cold temperatures between 2018 and 2019 in Baltimore, according to the Maryland Department of Health.

Sunday’s gruesome discovery is the second time a person died in the toilets outside M&T Bank Stadium.

A man was burned to death in February after a portable toilet caught fire while he was inside.

The man was seen on fire as he fled the port-a-potty, which was engulfed in flames. The fire spread to two adjacent toilets.

Police never revealed the cause of the fire, but said it was not believed to be related to a crime.
