Leading industry brands call for zero-emission trucks sales targets
Thirty leading companies, transport industry players and NGOs have written to the European Commission’s new president calling for ‘ambitious’ sales targets for zero-emissions trucks and vans. The 30 signatories, including Unilever, REWE and Nestlé, say the current supply of electric and hydrogen trucks and vans is ‘nearly non-existent’, which is preventing industry playing its part in reducing the climate impact of transport. T&E says the letter from such prominent names shows the will exists to decarbonise road transport.
