10 NJMP members compete in SCCA BFGoodrich Tires Super Tour

New Jersey Motorsports Park was well represented over the weekend at Road Atlanta for rounds five and six of the SCCA U.S. Majors Tour’s eastern conference schedule.

Ten NJMP Drivers Club members took to the track during the two-day BF Goodrich Tires Atlanta Super Tour, described by SCCA as one of the largest events on the 2014 slate.

Joe Aquilante (T1) led the way with two 3rd place results in T1, with Preston Calvert (T1) finishing 2nd in Race 2. Calvert also set a T1 track record on Saturday with a 1:32.169, only to break it again on Sunday with a 1:31.749.

Brian Heun (F5/6) ended his weekend with a 3rd place finish in Race 2.

Also competing were Joey Guinta (Spec Miata), Joe Colasacco (FF), Brian Vitz (SRF), Donald Privett (SRF), David Dickerson (SRF), Bruce Hamilton (FA), and Ted Zorbas (FA).

The SCCA U.S. Majors Tour comes to New Jersey Motorsports Park June 6-8.
