New Jersey Motorsports Park added two high-profile members to its impressive Drivers Club roster on Thursday afternoon.
Chase Elliott was presented with two honorary memberships to the exclusive club during a private event at the Park’s Go-Karting facility. Chase accepted on behalf of his father, Bill, who was not available for the presentation and accompanying photo op.
Chase, 18, has won two races in his first full-season of NASCAR Nationwide series competition. Elliott finished 2nd (2012) and 3rd (2013) in two starts of ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards competition at New Jersey Motorsports Park.
Bill is the 1988 Winston Cup Series champion and garnered 44 wins at NASCAR’s top level of competition. Elliott won NASCAR’s “Most Popular Driver” a record 16 times, and was announced as an inductee into the NASCAR Hall of Fame earlier this month.
