BBC Weather: Freezing Christmas snow as air plunges to -8C with gale-force winds

BBC WEATHER has warned of some snow in Scotland as temperatures dropped to -8C in parts of the Highlands on Christmas Eve as lashings of rain will beat down on to the UK for Christmas.
