We have all the ingredients for a cracker with last year’s winner Clan Des Obeaux returning with every chance, rising star Lostintranslation throwing down a challenge and the likes of Footpad and Thistlecrack trying to get their careers back on track.
Champion trainer Paul Nicholls has won this great race 10 times and has been raving about Cyrname. He was already the highest-rated chaser in training and if he wins this he’ll have to take up darts as he’ll be around 180.
His victory against Altior at Ascot last time was breathtaking as he jumped for fun and galloped that great champion into the ground. He won a couple of big races at Kempton as a novice so loves the track.

I believe CLAN DES OBEAUX is an awesome each-way bet for the champion trainer Paul Nicholls. I just can’t have the defending champion out of the first three and fully expect him to take all the beating. Especially now with Sun Racing ambassador Sam Twiston-Davies on board!
