Re: Just watching ESPN &
Saul GoodmanCamp is crap
Trueman isn't lots better but he is better, he hasn't really made any glaring errors yet and had made some saves that go beyond bread and butter, the defence has just been a shambles.
Yep, and it honestly astonishes me that people can't see that despite the evidence.
Our defence over the last few games has been horrible - Trueman has been given no help whatsoever. A lot of that will be to do with the absence of Roberts and Clarke-Salter of course, plus we have played good teams like Albion and Leeds...then we played Gardner at centre-half...
Whilst Camp was in the team we had some very decent defensive performances, Leeds away - Fulham at home - Wigan away where we played poorly but looked in no trouble at the back. Those games were decided purely and simply by massive Camp mistakes.
The evidence with Trueman is that if we can give him some help, he is perfectly capable of at least not making the game losing mistakes...with the odd good save thrown in. He made a fantastic save against Millwall and three very good ones against Wigan.
The argument that Camp organises the defence better doesn't have any evidence really, they looked frightened to death when he was in the side at times - and Saturday was not much better. If Sam Gallagher had known what to do when handed a Cow's Arse and a Banjo we could easily have let 4/5 in there as well...especially given that two of the major panics were directly caused by Camp effing up.
Others of course were cause by shambolic defending and us passing the ball straight to Blackburn players...but there again, Trueman has also faced those issues.
I couldn't really understand the suggestion that Camp had somehow become better by not being in the side, anybody with an open mind who saw him play on Saturday will know that he is just the same.
