NYCHA to spend $50 million scouring air ducts not cleaned in decades to fight mold

Tenants living in mold-infested public housing might finally have cause for hope.

The New York City Housing Authority is launching a $50 million program this month to scrub out and modernize ventilation systems in the 326 apartment complexes it oversees.
