Power boss teases major comeuppance in fallout from Ghost shooting and vows to honour ‘promise to audiences’
POWER’S boss has teased a major comeuppance in the fallout from Ghost’s shooting and vows to honour ‘promise to audiences’.
The Starz series delivered a shock for viewers when lead character James ‘Ghost’ St. Patrick was shot by a mystery assailant during its sixth and final season.
As the show gears up to airing its last five episodes, the show’s creator Courtney Kemp hinted they will focus on a character that “everyone loves to hate”.
Whether that person is also Ghost’s shooter remains to be seen, but she added to TVLine: “I always knew that Ghost was going to have to get some sort of consequence for his behaviour.
“Was that going to be incarceration or homicide? Who could say?
“But I made a promise to the audience very early on that he was dead or in jail or some version of that: getting shot, getting hurt, losing everything.”
Each episode leading up to the finale will focus on one of the people suspected of shooting Ghost (Omari Hardwick), with Saxe, Tommy, Paz, Tasha, Dre, Tariq and Tate on the list.
She explained: “All of them cover the period of time of [Episode] 610.
“They’re all different iterations of that day. The same day that Ghost got shot is the day that they cover, but then they all go past that point.”
Courtney added: “Ghost is the kind of person who keeps going… unless he loses everything.”
