My boyfriend dumped me after I accidentally got pregnant and had a miscarriage
DEAR DEIDRE: MY boyfriend dumped me when I lost his baby. I just don’t get it.
We had a bit of an up-and-down relationship but were together for three months. I’m 18 and studying to be a beautician. He’s 24 and a garage mechanic.
He already has two kids by two different girls and often moaned of being pestered for child maintenance, so he insisted I was on the Pill.
Last week I had crippling stomach pains, went to A&E and had a miscarriage, though I didn’t know I was pregnant.
I’d had a stomach upset and they said it must have stopped the Pill working.
When I told my boyfriend what had happened, he called me “a bitch” and said I should “get out of his life”.
I’m heartbroken. What have I done?
DEIDRE SAYS: Nothing wrong – but this guy is self-centred, irresponsible and uncaring.
