The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) found itself in the middle of a crisis on Thursday after it expelled eight former MLAs for "engaging with the government", and its founder member Muzaffar Hussain Baig hit out at former chief minister Mehbooba Mufti for her "provocative" remarks, which, he said, resulted in the downgrading of Jammu & Kashmir into two Union territories.
