[Women's Basketball] Points Comeback Falls Short against In-State Rival Reinhardt
West Point, Ga. – The Skyhawks hosted their in-state rival #23 Reinhardt and fell by a score of 81-72. Reinhardt's defense was tough on the Lady Skyhawks and held them to only 15 points in the first quarter while the Eagles put up 26. During the next 10 minutes the teams were more equally matched, but Reinhardt still held the lead going into halftime, 46-34. Coming back from the break, the Eagles extended their lead to as many as 24 points at 2:55 on the clock. However, the Skyhawks went on a 15-2 run to end the quarter and trailed by the score of 70-59. In the final 10 minutes, the Skyhawks made a valiant effort and cut the lead to four twice but could never get any closer. When the final horn sounded, ending the game, the Skyhawks found themselves on the wrong side of a 81-72 score. With the loss, Point's overall record moves to 9-12 and 6-11 in the conference.
