Watch: Storm Ciara Batters UK, A Month of Rain in One Day
New Delhi: Storm Ciara has reached the United Kingdom on Sunday with winds reaching the speed of 93mph, as predicted by the Met office. It is supposed to be a month of rain pouring in one day. Rail companies in England, Scotland and Wales have urged passengers not to travel and say they will operate reduced timetables and speed restrictions throughout the day.
Dozens of international and domestic flights have been cancelled and several sporting events have been called off. The Queen missed the Sunday service at Sandringham church as a “public safety precaution”.
#StormCíara has already brought very #wet and #windy conditions to much of the UK.
