Paul Pogba finally loses protective boot more than a month after surgery as Man Utd ace nears return from injury

PAUL POGBA is stepping up his rehab as he bids to come back from an ankle injury.

The Frenchman has not played since December and has been wearing a protective boot for over a month since going under the knife.

His team-mates have quit the storm-hit UK for a warm-weather training camp in Spain.

But Pogba, 26, is in Dubai working on his recovery and shared some snaps of himself in the gym – minus his protective boot.

The World Cup-winning playmaker has been given the green light to leave United in the summer.

SunSport exclusively revealed that Old Trafford chiefs had slashed £30million off their asking price as they look to move on.

Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola has publicly criticised United in a number of rants.

And the pair have been told that the club are willing to let go in the next transfer window – if their £150m demands are met.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has decided to go in another direction, with Pogba making just eight appearances this season.

Real Madrid and Juventus are among the interested parties and will be keeping a close eye on the midfielder’s recovery.

Bruno Fernandes arrived at Old Trafford in a £55m deal this summer and Solskjaer will hope the Portuguese can provide the creativity he has lacked in Pogba’s absence.
