Sputnik Gala Round 1 9th February

A very busy evening at Round 1 of the Sputniks Gala, with over 20 of our youngest swimmers representing Centurions at  Macclesfield.

Considering for many of these swimmers this was their first external gala they were all amazing, listened to instruction and swam brilliantly. We had 55 swims resulting in over 76% PB's from these swimmers.

There were some nervous swimmers but lots of smiling faces by the end of the gala and they should all be very proud of themselves and their achievements.

The relays as always were very exciting and again for many an unknown but everyone who took part did extremely well, it was also great to see the squad supporting each other cheering at the end of the lane.

There are a couple of results which need to be checked but a full report will be posted on the Gala page on the website soon.

A big thanks to both Mel and Holly for helping on poolside with the swimmers and ensuring this gala was positive and enjoyable for all.

The information and entries for Round 2 will be open soon and hopefully we will see you all there next time
