[Men's Volleyball] BENU Sweeps Through Southern California

Benedictine-Mesa pulled off an epic comeback last Friday, rallying from two sets down to beat host Vanguard, 3-2.  The Redhawks, ranked No. 8 in the NAIA, got off to a slow start in the match, as the host Lions took the first two sets going away and looked poised to pull the upset on their home court.  But BENU righted the ship in the third frame, grabbing a late lead and then holding of Vanguard thanks to a kill from Wyatt Henson to pull to within 2-1. Then the Redhawks took a hotly contested fourth set, staving off a match point with a kill from Landon Fuller and then forcing a fifth set after a kill from Dapre Rogers and a block from Bobby Henige and Garrett DeGrasse gave them a 29-27 set win.
