Disturbing footage shows woman suspected of abducting baby from maternity ward in central India

An unknown woman was allegedly caught on CCTV stealing a newborn baby from a maternity ward at a hospital in central India.

The disturbing footage shows the suspect leaving the hospital in Jushpur, Chattisgarh at around 2:00pm on February 11, with a young baby in her arms.

Reportedly a mother in the hospital named Chandra Muni had given birth six days earlier, but awoke that day to find her baby missing.

A police complaint has been filed and an investigation has been launched into the abduction.
