Deval Patrick quits race for Democratic presidential nomination

Deval Patrick, a former Massachusetts governor, on Wednesday said he was dropping out of the race for the Democratic presidential nomination. "The vote in New Hampshire last night was not enough for us to create the practical wind at the campaign's back to go on to the next round of voting," he said in a statement. Patrick's exit came after Andrew Yang and Michael Bennet, two other long-shot candidates, dropped out Tuesday night.
