[Women's Cross Country] Seven Bees named to all-academic women's cross country team

CHICAGO --- All 13 Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference schools that sponsor women's cross country were represented on the league's all-academic team, which was announced on Tuesday by the league office. Fifty-nine (59) individuals in all were selected with University of St. Francis gaining the most spots with eight.
Next in line was St. Ambrose University and Olivet Nazarene University with seven honorees each and both Cardinal Stritch University and Judson University with six each. Five individuals were named from Saint Xavier University, while Trinity Christian College and Trinity International University each had four awardees.
Calumet College of St. Joseph and Roosevelt University gained three positions each, Indiana University Northwest and Robert Morris University Illinois two and Governors State University and Indiana University South Bend one spot each.
The seven Bees named to the team were Carrington Curphy, Claire Duncan, Emma Duncan, Megan Grady, Jessica Mendenhall, Teagan Pantenburg and Sara Stockdale.
Ten of the honorees also boasted perfect 4.00 cumulative grade point averages, while 20 of the 59 selections were on the team last year, as well. Of those, eight were three-peat selections.
To be nominated for the award, a student-athlete must have been enrolled at her respective CCAC school for a minimum of one academic year, have completed at least 30 semester hours and boast no less than a 3.25 cumulative grade point average.
