Teresa Giudice’s brother says there’s ‘zero chance’ of her getting back together with husband Joe
TERESA Giudice’s brother Joe Gorga has insisted that there’s ‘zero chance’ of her reconciling with her ex husband Joe.
The couple announced they were separating in December after nearly 20 years of marriage and now the Real Housewives of New Jersey’s sibling has said they should have split sooner.
Speaking to Us Weekly, the 40-year-old said: “I think they should have been separated sooner. She should have moved on much sooner. They’re done. That ship has sailed.”
The reality star added that Joe, 47, had the chance to make things right with Teresa and claimed he didn’t “act right” for her or their daughters, Gia, 19, Gabriella, 15, Milania, 14, and Audriana, 10.
“It’s over,” he continued. “He didn’t know how to act. If he acted right, maybe.
“I believe if he came out and was so apologetic and showed her so much love and just was different — and he wasn’t that man that he was before.
“Like that rough man, ‘I don’t care, I didn’t want to marry you anyway.’ I think she probably would have given him a second chance. Because you know, you’re keeping your family together.”
Joe’s latest comments come days after he said Teresa had been “through hell and back” amid her husband’s cheating scandal.
Real Housewives of New Jersey viewers watched last week as Teresa – who split from Joe in December – claimed that her ex had cheated on her and even had a separate cell phone for his mistress.
In the wake of the accusations, Teresa’s younger brother Joe insisted he just wants her to be happy after all she’s been put through with her ex.
He told Radar Online: “She doesn’t deserve all of this. I’m happy she’s moving on. I want her to be happy.
“Listen, that’s my sister. I want her to be treated like a queen. I want her to be loved. I want her to be happy. She’s been through hell and back.”
Teresa, 47, made the accusation for the first time as she chatted to friends and family about her now ex, on Thursday’s RHONJ.
The cast and their husbands were in Jersey Shore for a weekend getaway, in a scene filmed before their split – although she was unsure about the relationship as Joe was still in ICE custody following his 41-month prison sentence.
During a conversation about prenups, Teresa vented about a phone call which Bravo cameras captured earlier this season, during which Joe angrily told her he had her sign a prenup one week before their wedding because he “didn’t want to get married.”
“I have a lot of resentment,” she told the group. “I felt like I didn’t deserve that ’cause I was like the perfect, perfect f***ing wife!”
Dolores Catania’s ex-husband-turned-best friend, Frank, called Joe “an ass” for those comments, and asked Teresa if she thought Joe was as good a spouse to her as she was to him.
“No, because there was rumors out there,” she said, prompting Margaret Josephs’ husband, Joe Benigno, to ask, “You think he ever fooled around behind your back?”
“Listen,” Teresa replied, “he had a separate cell phone with one girl.” To which Jennifer Aydin asked: “You know that for a fact?”
“I found it!” Teresa shouted. “It was his ex-girlfriend’s sister. He said she was going through her divorce. He was helping her, trying to sell her house.
“Like, I quit my job. Gia was 3. And I was like, ‘What am I gonna do?’ I should’ve left then, right? I didn’t because he denied it to me. I believed him.”
