Groom worries his bride’s ‘crooked nose’ will mean his ‘knockout’ sister will overshadow her on their big day

A GROOM has been slammed after asking how he should tell his “knockout” sister to tone down her looks so she doesn’t overshadow his bride who has a “crooked nose”.

The bizarre post appeared on Reddit and started with the man saying “I know this sounds bad but hear me out.”

He wrote: “I have a younger sister, Emma, who is gorgeous. That’s not me being creepy and obviously I’m not into her, but objectively speaking, she’s a knockout.

“She’s 28 years old, has long curly red hair, green eyes, an amazing figure and perfect milky skin.

“She’s stunning and regularly turns heads. I’m getting married in a couple of months to Jane, who of course I love and believe is beautiful in her own ways.

“However, society would agree that Emma is just immensely more beautiful.”

He went on to say that wife-to-be Jane is “insecure” about her looks because she “kind of has a big / crooked nose and some bad acne scarring”.

The brother continued: “But I know she’s having professional makeup done to feel as good as possible on our big day.

“Problem is, I think Emma naturally outshines her, and if she does her hair up and applies makeup she may as well be the only woman in the room.

“Trust me I’ve seen guys drooling, aside from her face her body is what most would consider desirable.”

He asked Reddit users how he should ask his sister Emma to tone down her looks for the wedding, so Jane feels beautiful.

The man said: “I’d like her to wear a really simple/unflattering dress and maybe just go no or minimal makeup but nothing too nice.

“I talked about this with my groomsmen and they thought it was reasonable if I word it very carefully and sensitively to Emma.

“But when I mentioned it to Jane, she flipped out and called me an AH and basically said I was calling her ugly.”

Problem is, I think Emma naturally outshines her [the bride], and if she does her hair up and applies makeup she may as well be the only woman in the room.

People were baffled at his post and called him out for being “gross” about his sister.

One wrote: “He could have just said she is conventionally attractive and I wouldn’t have thought much of it. But it was like a paragraph dedicated to describing her beauty.”

Another wrote: “That was physically painful to read.”

And one said: “I really hope ‘Jane’ chooses not to Marry him.

“It’s obvious he’s not in love with her. If you love someone you wouldn’t give a massive detailed account of your sisters beauty but leave your missus beauty at ‘in her own way’.”

Some said the post was so extreme that it must be fake, with one saying: “I think it’s fake. Anyone with a sibling of the opposite sex knows you don’t think about, or talk about, them like that.”

And another added: “Troll or not, I need to wash my eyeballs after that. So gross.”

We shared how a groom sent a shock email to guests cancelling the wedding 2 weeks before… & then replies 5 hours later taking it back.

And wedding shamers slam ‘trashy’ couple’s save-the-date invite showing the groom-to-be looking up his fiance’s skirt.
