Toppin going for 1000 points on Saturday
Obi Toppin has 979 points in his UD career. He needs 21 on Saturday against Duquesne to join the 1,000 point club.
He will join Dave Colbert and Jordan Sibert as the only Flyers to score 1000 points in a Dayton uniform in only 2 seasons. (unless he comes back next year, right Piqua66?) (There are 22 instances of UD players scoring 1,000 points over 2 seasons, but played more than 2 years.)
Also, since the 2000-01 season, he will have reached that mark quickest than anyone else. Sibert got to 1,000 points in his 71st game, and Saturday will be Obi's 60th game.
When he scores his 21st point on Saturday, I will stand for that.
