Kanesatake grand chief retracts comments on rail blockades after Mohawk community protest

Serge Simon, the elected chief of the Mohawk community near Oka, Que., who was locked out of his band office Tuesday, has apologized for any harm caused by his public appeal to First Nations protesters to leave their blockades.
