Shairon Martis joins L&D Amsterdam for 2020 Season

Former Major League pitcher Shairon Martis is joining L&D Amsterdam for the upcoming season in the Dutch Hoofdklasse. The 32-year-old right-hander debuted in the big leagues in 2005. Since 2006 he also has been playing for the Dutch national team. He threw a no-hitter against Panama in the World Baseball Classic that year. Last September he suited up for the Netherlands in the European Championship in Bonn and Solingen, Germany.
