Kansas man wrongfully convicted of 1994 double murder awarded $1.5M settlement

In 1994, 17-year-old Lamonte McIntyre was arrested for a double murder he didn’t commit. He spent 23 years — or 8,583 days — in prison for a double murder he didn’t commit.

Now, the state of Kansas will pay him $1.5 million for his trouble.
