UK Defence Minister Announces Development of New Nuclear Warhead as 'Effective' Deterrent

The replacement comes in line with a 2007 Parliamentary vote which ordered the preservation of the UK's nuclear deterrent capacity beyond the 2030s by upgrading, updating and maintaining the country's nuclear armaments.
